RULES FOR PARENTS & STUDENTS

GENERAL:

  • Parents must go through the rules and regulations prescribed in the manual. Parents should see that their children follow the rules regulations of the school as they are in the best interest of children. Parents are expected to encourage children to particular in all activities of the school.
  • School should be informed about any change of address/ Tel.No. in writing to the office and class teacher.
  • Circulars to parents will be sent through children. Children are expected to promptly deliver the same to their parents. Parents are particularly expected to sign the same.
  • Parents are requested not to enter the school premises or speak to teachers during class hours.
  • Students are not expected to be in the school premises after 4:00 PM. Unless specified by the school authorities. We expect parent's Co-Operation in this regard.
  • Students will not be allowed to make phone calls from school. Students are strictly prohibited from carrying mobile phones to school. Students found in possession of mobile phones will have to pay a fine of Rs. 2500/-. Parents have to contact the school office regarding collecting the mobile back.
  • Students are strictly prohibited from giving gifts to teachers.
  • Students should not carry cash and other costly articles to school unless instructed.
  • Students should not wear gold ornaments to school.

ACADEMICS:

  • Parents should check and keep track of portions completed every day.
  • Students should carry books only as per time table. No extra books need to be carried to school.
  • All text books, and note books should be covered with brown laminated sheet and labelled neatly. All other articles should be marked with the student's name.
  • Students are expected to attend all tests and exams. The overall performance of students throughout the academic year will decide the promotion of students to higher classes.
  • Students must submit their Home-Work and Assignments on time. Parents are requested to sign the daily Home Work. Parents will be called for if required by school for any discussion regarding children's academic performance.
  • Parents are requested not to call over phone to discuss academics.
  • Students should contribute to class projects, school magazines and cultivate creative thinking in their day-to-day activities.
  • Students are expected to check the notice board every day and make note of any announcements.
  • Students should return their report cards, answer papers etc... duly signed by their parents to the teachers on time.

LEAVE AND LATE ATTENDANCE:

  • Students must be in school on time and attend the daily prayer. Late comers will not be entertained. It is entirely the parent’s responsibility to see that children reach school on time. Regular late comers will be sent back home.
  • Students are expected to attend school regularly. A Student should secure a minimum of 85% of attendance.
  • Parents are requested to avoid requesting leave for their children as far as possible. In case of absence for special reasons leave application should be sent in writing, prior to the date. Leave application should be made by the parent / Guardian only and not by the student.
    • In Case of Sickness, leave letter should be produced within 3 days without fail. Producing Medical Certificate and other records is essential in case of long absence (More than 3 Days).
    • In Case of Wedding and similar Functions invitation card should be produced with the leave letter.
  • Names of students who are absent without leave letter will be struck off from the school rolls.
  • Parents who are desirous of taking their children home during working hours (in case of emergency) should come in person and get the permission from the office by submitting a written request.

DISCIPLINE:

  • Students are expected to maintain discipline within the school campus and in the van.
  • Students are expected to maintain absolute silence during prayer time and in the class room even when the teacher is not present.
  • The Ashram will consider the following fit for taking action against a student:
    • Violence and use of wrong language.
    • Bad behavior observed even during short break and lunch.
    • Abusing other students ( Physically / Verbally )
    • Disobedience or disrespect shown to teachers or school.
    • Regularly distracting or shouting during the class hours.
    • Carrying books not connected with academics, mobile phones, camera, photo albums etc...
    • Causing destruction to school property including plants that grow in the campus.
    • Singing of film songs inside the campus and in the van.
    • Loitering in the corridor / campus during class hours.
    • Irregular attendance.
    • Bad moral influence upon other children.
    • Neglect of work.
  • Any student involving in the following acts will be given a severe warning. Three such warnings will result in dismissal from the school. They are as follows:
    • Physical Violence - fighting with other students, causing serious injuries, etc...

    • Disrespect for school authorities and teacher.

SPOKEN LANGUAGE:

  • Children are expected to converse only in English within the school campus. Children come from various language backgrounds. Conversing in English will also help them to be familiar with the medium of instruction in our institutions.
  • Students are expected to use polite language both within and outside the school. They should uphold dignity and tradition of the school.

UNIFORM:

  • Students should come in clean uniform. Disciplinary action will be taken against defaulters. The uniform must be clean and properly ironed. Students are expected to wear black sandals every day.
  • All students ( From KG to STD XII ) should follow the following uniform pattern:

NOTE: Students who fail to follow the above uniform pattern will not be allowed to attend class.

  • Girls are expected to tie their hair neatly. Hair bands are prohibited.

LOST PROPERTY:

  • The school cannot make itself responsible for books, money, pens, snacks boxes and other articles that are lost. The students must look after their own things.

HEALTH AND HYGIENE:

  • Parents are requested not to send children to school in case they are suffering from contagious or infectious diseases.
  • Parents are expected to check hair and nails of their children periodically.
  • Students are responsible for the cleanliness of the class rooms and surroundings and also of their personal belongings. They should use the dustbins provided in class rooms and the toilets.

SAFETY OF STUDENTS:

  • For the welfare of your child, kindly do not give any instructions on the phone for dropping or picking up of your child from school. Kindly come in person.
  • Under no circumstances shall we send any child with any person unknown to us.
  • We do not entertain any telephone calls or personal visits to the children by other members of the family inside the school unless instructed, to that effect, by the parents concerned.
